About us
We are a local community-owned and operated toy library, with hundreds of good quality toys for children from birth to age 5 and beyond.
Our library is located at Ngaio Town Hall and open every second Saturday from 9.30am - 11.30am.
Our Librarian & Volunteers

Mackenzie
Librarian
Our incredible librarian, Mackenzie, is an integral part of running the toy library session on every second Saturday.

Liv
Volunteer
Our amazing Liv is kindly gifting her Saturday mornings to help out at every sessions. Ka pai! What would we do without her!
Our Committee
Committee and duty members are the driving force of our Toy Library. We are a community owned and run organisation, which means we cannot function without the assistance of our members and community volunteers.
Our committee is a small team of volunteers. We meet monthly for about an hour and a half, and while we have some committee roles, like Chair, Treasurer, Toy Buyer and Secretary, most of our committee members help out as needed and as they are able to. We discuss and distribute upcoming work at our meetings, and loosely keep in touch in-between meetings via our chat.
Our Vacancies
Committee Members
We are looking for members who are keen to help on our committee. We meet monthly for about an hour and welcome expressions of interest. If you can't commit to joining the committee, there are a lot of other ways you can help, whether that's organising member events, fundraising, helping with marketing or repairing toys.
